COVID 19 WAGE SUBSIDY UPDATE 20 AUGUST 2021

Eligible businesses can claim the wage subsidy today (20th August 2021).  The criteria being at least 40% decline in revenue over the period 17 August 2021 to 30 August 2021 (inclusive) compared to typical 14-day consecutive period of revenue in the six weeks immedicably prior to move to Alert Level 4 on 17 August 2021.

The wage subsidy covers $600 per week for full-time equivalent employees and $359 per week for part-time employees.

The Resurgent Support Payment (RSP) is available if businesses incur a loss of 30 percent of revenue.  The RSP is  worth up to $1,500 plus $400 per full-time equivalent employee.  The RSP can be claimed from 24 August 2021.

Provided a business meets the criteria, businesses can claim both the Wage Subsidy and the RSP.
